Con­cei­to:
Inse­ri­do na envolvência bucólica que carac­te­ri­za o sopé da ser­ra de Sin­tra o espaço do anti­go hotel, com­ple­ta­men­te deli­mi­ta­do por muros de pedra, foi defi­ni­do com base em dois objec­ti­vos: cri­ar uma área atrac­ti­va de carácter con­tem­pla­ti­vo que reme­tes­se para a diver­si­da­de e tex­tu­ra da sua vegetação local — garan­tin­do uma relação visu­al direc­ta a par­tir da espla­na­da e pátio no piso 1, e com os quar­tos dos pisos supe­ri­o­res ori­en­ta­dos a Noro­es­te; cri­ar um jar­dim que per­mi­tis­se a livre circulação e pas­sa­gem entre os aces­sos ao hotel, com um carácter aco­lhe­dor, inti­mis­ta e inte­gra­do no seu conjunto.

Con­cept:
Set in the buco­lic Sintra’s lands­ca­pe, the old hotel patio, com­ple­tely enclo­sed by sto­ne walls, was defi­ned based on two objec­ti­ves: to cre­a­te an attrac­ti­ve area with a con­tem­pla­ti­ve cha­rac­ter whi­ch would be sym­bo­lic of the diver­sity and tex­tu­re of the local vege­ta­ti­on — whi­le ensu­ring a direct visu­al rela­ti­onship with the ter­ra­ce and patio on the 1^st flo­or, and the rooms on the upper flo­ors ori­en­ted Northwest; and to cre­a­te a gar­den that would allow the free pas­sa­ge betwe­en the hotel entran­ces, but that had a warm, inti­ma­te and invi­ting cha­rac­ter, whi­le inte­gra­ted as a who­le in the hotel design.
